Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyPetDex ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.

Use of Service

MyPetDex is provided for personal, non-commercial use to manage your pets' health information and connect with local pet service providers. You must be 18 years or older to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at help@mypetdex.app of any unauthorized use of your account.

Subscription & Billing

MyPetDex offers the following plans:

Free: 1 pet profile, core features, no credit card required.

Plus ($3/month or $2.40/month billed yearly): Up to 3 pets, AI assistant, recipe builder, and more.

Family ($5/month or $4/month billed yearly): Unlimited pets, all features, priority support.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

AI Disclaimer

The AI assistant and AI-generated content within MyPetDex are for informational purposes only and do not constitute veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions regarding your pet. MyPetDex is not liable for any actions taken based on AI-generated responses.

Nutrition & Recipe Standards

Pet recipes provided through MyPetDex are AAFCO compliant templates scaled to your pet's WSAVA calorie target — they are not AI-generated. Recipe data is sourced from AAFCO 2023 Nutrient Profiles, USDA FoodData Central, and WSAVA Global Nutrition Guidelines — all publicly published standards.

Supplement Notice: Whole food recipes alone may not meet 100% of AAFCO trace mineral requirements. MyPetDex recommends adding a vet-approved multivitamin supplement to all homemade meals to ensure nutritional completeness.

Toxicity Safeguards: Ingredients known to be toxic to dogs and cats per ASPCA guidelines are hard-blocked from all recipes. Users are responsible for verifying the safety of any additional ingredients not included in our platform.

All nutrition content is for informational purposes only. Always consult a licensed veterinarian or board-certified veterinary nutritionist before switching your pet to a homemade diet.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you upload to MyPetDex, including photos, pet records, and notes. By uploading content, you grant MyPetDex a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. We will never use your content for advertising or share it with third parties.

Service Providers

Service providers listed on MyPetDex are independent businesses. MyPetDex does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any service listed. Always verify provider credentials and exercise your own judgment before booking any service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use MyPetDex to upload false or misleading information, attempt to access other users' data, engage in any illegal activity, or use the Service in any way that could harm other users or the platform.

Limitation of Liability

MyPetDex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyPetDex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
